Caradoc Steam Tractor!
For those who want something a bit different here is an opportunity to have a very rare but fascinating 4" Scale Caradoc Steam Tractor built By E. Lancaster in 1995.
This model is in Massey Ferguson livery but it is STEAM POWERD TRACTOR standing out from the crowed.
Good investment to be made on this model, I have had a lot of fun with this engine I am only selling due to new engine now built I am needing storage space!!!!
This engine is a very Unusual Exhibit to take to any Steam Rally / Tractor Rally, every where this engine gooses it gets people talking about it.
This miniature was designed by the exceptional miniature steam engineer John Haining, a great enthusiast of long extinct types, and the build was serialised in the Model Engineer.
This engine is a very rare model to be for-sale as it is built in 4" Scale, drawings are in 3" scale but Mr Lancaster took the task, scaled the model up to make this very unusual engine with 2 other known to myself in existences in 4" scale.
This engine has a 3 speed gear box that works in forward and reserve.
The engine has a Steel boiler built as a non commercial item working at 125psi. With feed by mechanical pump & an injector.
Boiler tested with full documentation for steam test / Hydraulic test.
Test runs till: - Steam 09/04/2012 Hydraulic 09/04/2013
This engine has a V5 document that gives you fully road taxed on a Q plate with road tax running till 30/04/12 (Don't be put off by this as it is Free to tax Steam powered engines.)
This engine also comes with trailer to go at back off engine to take extra water / coal and a passenger as seen in photo. This Steam tractor has a very nice seat that fits on the back off the engine for a very good driving position, with the blown up back wheel this give the engine the edge as it will run in mud / wet ground.
