To start with the first Caradoc steam tractor was build by John Haining that was then Described in the "Model Engineer" in 1994 by John Haining.
"Caradoc" was his take on what steam would have ended up looking like if there was a fuel shortage after the war.
So it might even be useful for today with the cost of fuel !!!!!!
Using a modified version off John Haining Suffolk Dredging Tractor engine, John came up with an interesting idea which, like all Hainings designs, goes well. This was build in a 3" scale then there was 3 engines built along side each other in 4" scale off a Caradoc steam tractor.
